How does my product data "get into" ChoiceBot?

There are two ways to get your product data into ChoiceBot :

  • Hire ChoiceBot Services Group to enter data from your retail site into ChoiceBot for $10 / product (see fees below)
  • OR, send us your catalog in almost any electronic format (XML, CSV, Google Products upload file, Shopping.com upload file, etc.)

If you have product data in electronic form, but that is missing data for features that you would like to see in your ChoiceBot, ChoiceBot Services Group can use your electronic data as a "base", and fill in missing product information for a reduced data entry fee. How does my product data "stay fresh" in ChoiceBot?

If you originally sent us your product data electronically (i.e. as a datafeed file), you can send us an updated datafeed file (reflecting recent changes to your catalog) at any time, without charge.

At any time, you can also email us a list of change requests (updated prices, discontinued products, etc.), which will usually be reflected in your ChoiceBot within 24 hours (data entry fees may apply for entering new products if information is not provided electronically).

Will ChoiceBot work with my product category?

ChoiceBot works with any product category where shoppers consider multiple features when choosing which product to buy. This includes nearly every type of product except for apparel, media (books, music, games, etc.), cosmetics, jewelry and art (i.e., products that people generally don't consider to have "features", per se).

How do I add ChoiceBot to my site?

ChoiceBot is a self-contained Adobe Flash object, and can be added to any page(s) on your site with one line of HTML code (similar to way that you would embed a YouTube® video). If you like, you can promote your powerful new product selection capability on other parts of your site (here are some tips), however this is entirely up to you.

How much does ChoiceBot cost?

ChoiceBot is a mostly automated service, so we've been able to make it affordable for even the smallest retailers. There are three components to the ChoiceBot for e-Retailers fees :

$495 feature framework setup includes :

  • Consulting with you to decide which features will be shown in your ChoiceBot (subject to your final approval)
  • Creating professionally-written descriptions for each feature (subject to your final approval)
  • A 90-second demo video showing ChoiceBot working with your products, that you can put on your site to promote your powerful new product selection capability, something like this:

$595 datafeed acquisition setup fee
(Only applies if you are sending us your catalog information in an electronic format.)
OR $10 / product data entry fee
(Only applies if you hire ChoiceBot Services Group to enter your product data from your website.)


AND

Monthly subscription fee starting at just $99/month

The monthly subscription fee is based on the average number of monthly unique visitors to your site for the 12 months prior to deploying ChoiceBot, and remains constant thereafter. It does NOT vary based on your traffic from month to month, or based on the number of products or features in your ChoiceBot, so there's no reporting required on your end, and you know exactly what your fees will be for the duration of the contract. You can cancel your ChoiceBot subscription at any time by providing 30 days' notice.

Monthly fees include:

  • Application hosting (the ChoiceBot application is hosted on our servers, so there's no hardware or software for you to buy and configure)
  • Priority customer support
  • Unlimited catalog updates if performed via electronic datafeed files (data entry fees may apply for entering new products "manually")

How many products can be included in ChoiceBot?

ChoiceBot has been tested with over 1,000 products, and could handle even more (we stopped testing at 1,000...). Note, however, that only one category of product can be included in a single ChoiceBot, since the features shown in ChoiceBot are relevant to only one type of product. If you would like to use ChoiceBot for multiple product categories on your site, significant volume discounts apply to the prices quoted above.

How long does it take to get up and running?

The setup and integration process usually takes one to four weeks, but depends mostly on how quickly you can provide the following:

  1. Edits or approval of the feature framework that ChoiceBot Services Group proposes.
  2. Either a datafeed file that contains all of the product information that you want users to see in your ChoiceBot, or an order to collect product information from your site.
  3. Addition of the ChoiceBot HTML embed code on the page(s) where you want ChoiceBot to appear.
