ChoiceBot for e-Retailers - Datafeed Edition is a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), which means that the ChoiceBot application runs on ChoiceBot’s servers, so there is no software or hardware to buy, install, configure or maintain. ChoiceBot is managed entirely through your browser, and is designed for retailers with enough IT expertise to export a product datafeed or expose a product information database to ChoiceBot.
ChoiceBot for e-Retailers - Datafeed Edition can be added to your site in just a few days, and requires just two basic steps:

Set up a product datafeed that contains basic information such as product names, prices, product detail page URLs, etc. Note that ChoiceBot supports Google Base data feeds, and can use these if you are generating them already. If you have feature attribute data as well, this can also be included in the datafeed. If you do not have feature attribute data, this can be sourced directly from manufacturer sites by the ChoiceBot Services Group at a cost of $3 per product. You can include whatever features you feel are important to your shoppers -even “soft” features like ease of use or reliability. You can also include a description with each feature that appears below the ChoiceBot sliders that helps shoppers determine what their criteria should be for that feature.
Add a link or button to your site that launches the interactive product recommender popup. You can include whatever messaging or graphics you like in the link or button, and place it in whatever location(s) you like on your site (typically your home page or product category home page). When your shoppers click on the link you’ve added, the ChoiceBot interactive product recommender appears in a popup that reflects your site’s branding.

When a shopper clicks on the interactive product recommender button on your site, ChoiceBot appears in a popup, so that the shopper can refer back to it throughout their decision-making process. When a shopper clicks on a product in the interactive product recommender popup, the browser window showing your site switches to the product detail page for the selected product, where cross-selling, checkout, etc. can occur.

If I add ChoiceBot to my site, can I keep other product search tools that I may already have on my site?
Yes. ChoiceBot can be added to your site as a new way for shoppers to find products of interest in your catalog. We recommend that you keep any keyword search tools that you may already have deployed on your site, since these are useful for shoppers who already have a specific product in mind. If you have a “guided navigation” solution or other feature-based product filtering tool on your site, you may find that more shoppers will use ChoiceBot, however you can continue to make such tools available to your visitors.

What kind of user is ChoiceBot targeted at?
ChoiceBot is designed to help site visitors who have some buying (feature) criteria in mind, but who are not sure which model to buy. Depending on the product category, this represents approximately 30% to 60% of site visitors. These visitors often present the greatest opportunities for conversion since they have genuine intent to purchase (as opposed to purely browse), and if they find a product that lines up well with their requirements with minimal time and effort, they are likely to buy it.
